Visiting Nurses Foundation graciously accepted a donation of a 2000 Astro Van with a lift and power chair earlier this month to give to a deserving family.

Earlier this month, an anonymous donor donated a 2000 Astro Van retrofitted with a lift and power chair. The gently used van has 56,000 miles and the wheelchair and lift can be used by an individual up to 400 lbs. Visiting Nurses Foundation is seeking grant applications accompanied with a cover letter outlining circumstances that will help the foundation award the van to a deserving family. Grant application can be found at visitingnursesfoundation.org/services/grants or by calling 360-623-1560.

Visiting Nurses Foundation’s mission is to create funding for education and assistance of home health and hospice patients and their families. The Lewis County-based foundation now serves eight counties. Donations to Visiting Nurses Foundation goes directly to patient care or equipment; administrative costs are covered by the foundation’s thrift stores.
